Jizo vs. Jesus A bilingual (English and Japanese) illustrated, 380 page
book "Japan's Jizo and Jesus". This book is a result of 49 nine year research
on the subject of the early Christians who came to Japan. They are nicknamed Nestorians.
Officially they are the ancient Assyrian Church of the East.
What does "Jizo" mean? When the Chinese in the 600's saw how Christianity was sweeping the
country, they invented Jizzo as a Chinese competitor to Jesus. The Japanese imported this
and litered the country side with his stone idol, the saviour of children. They're taught
that when a Japanese child dies, they think he goes to Hell, and spends his time stacking
up rocks to reach to heaven. But then, a demon comes while he sleeps and knocks the rocks
down. But before the demon strikes, Jizo comes and beats the demon (you can read all about
it on page 217-220 in the book).
The book can be purchasef for donation of any amount over $30.00. Mail a check to
REAP, PoBox 488, LaMirada, CA, 90637-0488. Please write "Jizo vs. Jesus" on your
